RIDGEFIELD, Connecticut and BALTIMORE, Maryland – Player Development Index and the Junior Golf Hub are proud to announce their partnership with The National Junior Tour Powered by Under Armour, a collaboration set to advance the long-term development and college recruiting prospects for thousands of aspiring young golfers.
The partnership kicks off next week at the highly anticipated Under Armour Summer Nationals tournament, June 26-29 at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This flagship event brings together 1,500 elite junior golfers, and will be the first opportunity for participants in the National Junior Tour—which annually reaches over 7,500 youth athletes ages 6-18—to benefit directly from the combined expertise of PDI and the Junior Golf Hub.
PDI will provide Tour participants an objective, holistic, repeatable assessment tool, helping them to precisely measure the leading indicators of their golf performance, identifying strengths and key areas for improvement, and tracking the development progress of those areas. This data-driven approach empowers coaches and players alike to tailor training programs and track progress across the physical, golf skills, and mental areas critical to golf improvement.
Simultaneously, the Junior Golf Hub will offer its unparalleled platform for college golf recruiting, enabling junior golfers to build comprehensive profiles, learn about and follow college golf programs, and gain crucial visibility to college coaches.
All National Junior Tour tournaments will be included in the Junior Golf Hub Rankings, which provides unmatched breadth and depth of coverage for junior golf tournaments and ensures greater visibility for more athletes within the college recruiting process. The shared mission of all three organizations is to provide unparalleled opportunities for junior golfers, fostering both athletic excellence and academic pathways.
“This partnership with The National Junior Tour marks a pivotal moment for junior golf development,” said Eric Allen, CEO of PDI and the Junior Golf Hub. “The Tour’s impressive reach, combined with its commitment to competitive excellence and player growth, aligns perfectly with our mission. By integrating PDI’s objective performance data and the Junior Golf Hub’s rankings and college recruiting platform, we are creating a seamless, powerful ecosystem that truly supports young athletes from their earliest tournaments all the way to college scholarships.
“This collaboration underscores our dedication to making the journey to college golf more accessible and successful for thousands of junior golfers.”
The excitement is building for the Summer Nationals, where PDI and the Junior Golf Hub will have a significant presence, engaging directly with participants and their families.
Ray Taranto, founder and President of the Junior Tour, added, “We are incredibly excited to help our talented junior golfers and their families unlock the full potential of PDI and the Junior Golf Hub. Our goal is to ensure every participant gets the most out of these resources, whether it’s understanding their game better through PDI assessments or navigating the college recruiting process more effectively with the Junior Golf Hub. We look forward to supporting each junior golfer on their unique journey.”
This strategic alliance is poised to redefine how junior golfers approach their development and college aspirations, providing a holistic suite of tools and support designed for measurable improvement and successful transitions to collegiate play.
