SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – Troon, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, congratulates the nine affiliated facilities named to Golf Digest’s newly released America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses ranking.

Golf Digest’s biennial ranking covers the very best in public, resort and daily-fee access golf courses across the U.S.

The nine Troon-affiliated courses named to America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses list include:

  • No. 23 Kapalua Plantation in Maui, Hawaii
  • No. 31 Gamble Sands in Brewster, Washington
  • No. 35 Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah
  • No. 41 Pronghorn Club at Juniper Preserve (Nicklaus) in Bend, Oregon
  • No. 44  Tobacco Road in Sanford, North Carolina
  • No. 58  The Quarry at Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minnesota
  • No. 61  Tetherow in Bend, Oregon
  • No. 73  Princeville Makai Golf Club in Kauai, Hawaii
  • No. 93 Quintero Golf Club in Peoria, Arizona
  • Golf Digest’s rankings are based on tens of thousands of evaluations submitted by their traveling course-ranking panelists and are a reflection of the architectural merits of each course. Panelists assess candidate courses based on the following criteria: Shot Options, Challenge, Design Variety, Conditioning, Aesthetics, Character and Fun.

“Being named to Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses is an incredible honor and point of pride for the owners of and the associates who work at these amazing facilities,” said Troon Chief Operating Officer Mike Ryan.

“Congratulations to the outstanding architects who designed these award-winning courses. Their vision and unique talents are central to what makes golf so extraordinary.”
