LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — The Jackson T. Stephens Cup, collegiate golf’s premier event, announced special invitations to 12 elite players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and United States Service Academies to compete Sept. 15–17 at the prestigious Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
Now in its fifth year, the JTS Cup celebrates the talent of amateur golfers and the diverse community that shapes the future of the sport. Individuals from the HBCUs of Alabama State University, Florida A&M University, Howard University, Livingstone College, and Prairie View A&M University; and the three United States Service Academies — United States Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy and United States Naval Academy — will compete in the stroke play portion of the tournament alongside the NCAA’s top-ranked Division I men’s and women’s programs.
The women’s stroke play field includes Marley Franklin (Howard University), Paris Fieldings (Howard University), Hallie Brisco (United States Naval Academy), Emma Tang (United States Naval Academy) and Kacey Menyoli (Prairie View A&M University).
Representing the men’s stroke play division are Mathis Perroni (Howard University), Tariro November (Howard University), Denis Asaba (Livingstone), Sascha Robinson (Florida A&M), Brooks Morrell (United States Air Force Academy), Drew Jeffords (United States Military Academy) and Chip Deegan (United States Naval Academy).
The three-day competition will be televised live on GOLF Channel and will air Monday, Sept. 15 from 5–8 p.m. ET; Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 4–7 p.m. ET; and Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 4–7 p.m. ET.
