PHOENIX, Arizona – The I GOT THIS Foundation, in collaboration with Pal Experiences, is proud to announce the launch of innovative digital accessibility tools designed to open the world of golf to families impacted by developmental disabilities.

Under the leadership of disability advocate Amy Bockerstette, the Foundation is now recognized as an official Pal Place, enhancing its commitment to inclusivity in sports.

As a Pal Place, the I GOT THIS Foundation provides comprehensive “know before you go” resources for its Discovery Golf Clinics. These tools, including detailed walk-through videos and visual guides, are crafted to help individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families gain a clear understanding of what to expect, thereby reducing anxiety and enhancing the overall golf experience.

Discovery Golf Clinics offer professional golf instruction tailored to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The clinics, featuring interactive stations for putting, chipping, and driving, promise a supportive and engaging introduction to golf.

The recently released video introducing the clinic can be found at https://palexperiences.org/i-got-this/.

The Foundation’s status as a Pal Place represents a significant advancement in making golf more accessible for those who have historically encountered participation barriers. Pal Places are equipped to address sensory sensitivities and communication challenges, ensuring that every outing is both accessible and enjoyable.

“We believe that providing families with a clear understanding of what to expect and how to prepare will encourage participation,” stated Tracy Hupko, Executive Director of the I GOT THIS Foundation. “Our aim is to eliminate uncertainty and to build confidence, allowing every individual the chance to learn and enjoy golf.”

The next Discovery Golf Clinic will be held May 4 at Toka Sticks Golf Club, in Mesa, AZ, and another will be held in the fall in central Phoenix, and more across the country to be announced soon.

This initiative is generously supported by Unomojo, LLC., a dedicated sponsor committed to fostering positive change in communities across the nation.
