First ever World Putting Tour Championship concludes with record-breaking $100,000 payout

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona- The inaugural World Putting Tour Championship, operated by Putting World Global, held on March 16 and 17, has set a new standard in the world of putting competitions by offering an unprecedented $100,000 purse. 

The championship brought together some of the most skilled putting athletes from around the globe for two intense days of competition, culminating in a thrilling finale that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The competition was fierce as players battled it out on the greens, showcasing their precision and skill. The leaderboard saw multiple contenders vying for the top spot, with the lead bouncing between several competitors throughout the tournament. Ultimately, Jeff Gibralter emerged victorious, claiming the first-place title and a remarkable $25,000 cash prize after shooting an impressive 23-under par.

“For me, this tour means a lot,” said Gibralter. “This tour and facility are amazing and I think it is incumbent on every one of us to continue to help others see what is so special about it.”

Coming in a close second was Justin Purvis, whose stellar performance earned him a well-deserved $10,000 prize with a score of -22. The leaderboard also featured other top-performing players who demonstrated exceptional talent and determination throughout the championship.

The payout structure of the World Putting Tour Championship reflects a commitment to equality and inclusivity in the sport with Samantha Shoshaunna, the ladies’ flight first-place winner receiving $2,500 and Sean Kearns, the seniors’ flight champion also claiming a $2,500 prize.
