Encore Leisure Group, a newly formed company led by Dale Folmar and Jacques James, has taken over management duties for the 17 private clubs and public golf courses previously owned by C-BONS International Golf Group and operated by CBIGG Management.

This story was originally reported by Golf Inc. magazine.

Folmar and James are both former executives at CBIGG. The company is based in San Antonio, Texas.

“We’re so excited to expand on what we’ve done previously with the entire CBIGG portfolio, and hopefully take these operations to an even higher level of experience for everyone involved,” said Folmar, who will serve as the new company’s CEO.

“Our goals are simple…provide best in class golf course conditions, exceptional dining, athletic and lifestyle experiences, as well as host special and exciting events throughout all our Clubs, while striving every day to make people happy.  It’s a model that’s focused on creating places that are enjoyable for everyone and financially successful for our owners.”

James will serve as Chief Financial Officer and will focus on the day-to-day management of systems and processes, as well as securing financial partnerships and strategic growth initiatives to expand the company’s reach within the industry.

“We are excited about what the future holds for us and for the opportunity to grow and innovate,” James said. “I believe that there are many opportunities for us to seize, not just to maximize the investments we manage for our partners but also to enhance the experiences of all those involved.”

Encore’s stated goal is to function as a boutique management company that will focus more on innovative and non-traditional ways to enjoy both the game of golf as well as all facets of the golf and country club lifestyle. It also expects to expand into non-green-grass ventures.

Encore’s current portfolio comprises eight private clubs and nine public golf courses in Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Massachusetts.
