DIVNICKGOLF CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF GLOBAL SUCCESS – NOW LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE OVER

DAYTON, Ohio – The first time Steve Divnick played golf, he thought it was silly lugging a bag on his shoulder like a porter on a safari. Since he was an inventor and already had some patents, he went into his shop that night and started building what would become the, “Divnick All-In-One” golf club shown on www.DivnickGolf.com.

He designed it with a transmission inside the head that can be locked on every loft in a full set, plus half lofts. So it is twice as many lofts as a full set of clubs, including 4 putters, 8 wedges, and every 2 degrees in between.

With the Divnick club, there is no need to adjust your swing or choke down on the grip for those in-between shots. You can dial in your distance and take a full swing every time with precision distance results.

He also wanted it to be a travel club, so he perfected a 3-piece telescopic shaft that collapses to 17 inches for travel and storage, and extends to a rock-solid 38.5 inches (4-iron length). Divnick and his customers get surprising reactions when they let people hit the club.

Divnick describes it this way: “When they see us using it on the course, they can easily see the adjustable head but they don’t notice the telescopic shaft. They are amazed at how solid it is and how it delivers shots just like their one-piece clubs. Then I collapse the shaft and it blows their mind.”

As an experienced businessman, he knew there would be marketing benefits to offering personalization and logos. So he designed it with a flat cavity in the back where beautiful 3-D lens domes can be included.

Divnick reports, “About half my sales are with personalization, school mascots, flags, and corporate logos. They are great quality golf gifts…not the ordinary ball, tee, or cap.” One company has given away over 1,000 of them to their valuable employees and corporate partners.

How does it compare to modern clubs? Although it has performed great on several robot challenges, and a scratch golfer can still play scratch golf with it, Divnick is the first to acknowledge that it is the “Swiss Army Knife” of golf clubs. It is the most like an iron, and it will do everything, but it won’t do the extremes of length-shape-and-weight as well as dedicated tools that are designed for a specific task. It isn’t as long as a driver, it isn’t as heavy as a wedge, and it isn’t balanced like a putter.

So Divnick also makes telescopic drivers, putters, wedges, hybrids…and any other telescopic clubs his customer want. As chest putters are making a comeback, his long putters are very popular because you can travel with them.

He has made specialty clubs for trick-shot performers like a 9-foot putter, a 20-foot driver, and a 4-headed driver. His long drivers led to the development of the “World’s Longest Production Driver” known as The Big Stik. It is a 5-foot long driver with a huge double-size head. It is primarily used at charity golf outings where everyone can hit it for a donation. It has raised thousands of dollars at outings and a ton of fun.

Says Divnick, “If you can time it, you can hit it a country mile. You just don’t know what country it will land in!” And it also collapses for easy travel. With over 20,000 charity golf outings per year in the US alone, this is a pretty significant marketing niche for this unique driver.

Divnick has a distributor in Europe and added one in China last year. China is a booming golf market and they love the utility of the Divnick All-In-One.

As much fun as it has been, Divnick recognizes that the time is coming to pass this along to another company. When asked what the ideal relationship would be, Divnick responds, “I have all the manufacturing working smoothly, so the most important thing I’m looking for is a company that can optimize social media, something I have not done. I can continue to do the fulfillment for a while, but would eventually like to pass the whole golf division along.”

So if you or someone you know has social-media marketing experience, this great product line with a 40 year track record might be a great fit for you.
