Amateur golfers compete for spots in the Crystal Cup grand finale in Georgia

CARLSBAD, California – Beautiful and challenging Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad will host the first public qualifying tournament on July 10 for the 2025 Crystal Cup – an exclusive new golf tournament blending world-class travel with exceptional golf.

Two-person teams will compete in both gross and net divisions for a chance to take part in the Crystal Cup Finale at Sea Island Golf Resort in Georgia in October and the grand prize of a 29-night Crystal cruise aboard Crystal Symphony.

Amateur golfers interested in playing in the Crystal Cup qualifying tournament at Aviara Golf Club can register atwww.troonevents.com/troon/AviaraCrystalCup/Home.

The Crystal Cup qualifying tournament at Aviara is open to amateur golfers seeking to test their golf skills and enjoy an extraordinary tournament experience at one of Southern California’s top courses.

Qualifying tournaments will be played at 13 iconic venues across the United States throughout the summer, including additional public qualifying tournaments at Tobacco Road Golf Club in Sanford, N.C., on Aug. 19, and La Cantera Golf Club in San Antonio, on Aug. 26.

Ten qualifiers will be held at private clubs across the country. In total, 940 teams and 1,880 players are expected to compete in Crystal Cup qualifiers.

The Crystal Cup is presented by Crystal, the leader in exceptional cruise experiences, in collaboration with Troon, the world’s leading golf management company. The exciting Crystal Cup Finale will be attended by Ryder Cup European team captain Luke Donald and Solheim Cup winner Lexi Thompson, who are serving as official Crystal Cup ambassadors.

The Crystal Cup culminates Oct. 23-26 with the grand finale at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga. Finale participants will have the unique opportunity to play alongside Crystal’s golf brand ambassadors, enjoy unparalleled hospitality and compete for exceptional prizes.

Aviara Golf Club is the only coastal California course designed by Arnold Palmer. The 7,007-yard course is secluded amid 200 acres of verdant rolling valleys, overlooking the Batiquitos Lagoon nature preserve with picturesque hillsides and native wildflowers.

Named one of the top courses in California by Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine and Golfweek, Aviara Golf Club is well-known for its lush landscaping, beautiful flower beds and gorgeous scenery.

The Crystal Cup promises an unforgettable experience for golf and cruise enthusiasts alike. Crystal has embarked on an exciting new chapter, acquired by A&K Travel Group (AKTG) in 2022, and relaunched in 2023.

Crystal has returned to service with a renewed commitment to providing unparalleled amenities and exceptional experiences for discerning travelers and golf fans alike as each ship features a driving cage and putting green as well as a golf professional on each sailing providing lessons.

With a refurbished fleet and three new ships on order, expanded itineraries and a focus on personalized service, Crystal is once again, poised to redefine luxury travel.
