Clubhouse enhancements cap multi-stage, multi-million dollar investment into club

AUSTIN, Texas  — Westlake Country Club is proud to announce the completion of a multi-year, multi-million dollar reinvestment campaign, capping off a series of enhancements, expansions and renovations that have transformed the historic club, while also preserving the look and feel of the property.

After more than half a century of hosting and entertaining members and guests, Westlake Country Club’s Clubhouse now features a completely redesigned interior with redefined spaces and designs that connect with the broader Austin community.

From modernized furniture and open spaces to higher ceilings and natural textures, these amenities and transformations are now available to members and guests of the Westlake community.

Most recently, Westlake Country Club opened Veranda, the newest restaurant on property and the highlight of the refashioned clubhouse. This fresh, elevated space features warm modern design and stunning wraparound balcony views, creating the perfect setting for everything from intimate dinners to weekend gatherings.

“The past three years have been defined by an intentional, focused process aimed at elevating the member experience at Westlake Country Club, leaning into the incredible natural environment from a design perspective and delivering the top-tier amenities that our members deserve,” said Zac Wellner, regional general manager at Westlake Country Club.

“As this reinvestment effort comes to a close, I’m excited for our community to enjoy a championship quality golf course, a state of the art fitness center, expanded racquet facilities and a renovated clubhouse that will serve as the anchor point for our member experience.”

The renovated clubhouse features an updated lobby area that welcomes all who pass through the doorway, while locker rooms have been reimagined to enhance space and comfort. The lounge area features teas, coffee and cocktails to serve as a sophisticated retreat for work, leisure and building connections.

In addition to Veranda, The Roost, the clubhouse’s outdoor patio dining area has been revamped. It now features expanded shaded seating and weather-resistant shade walls that keep members and guests comfortable no matter the season. Together, these dining areas blend equal parts style and functionality, creating ideal settings for any occasion.

The Clubhouse renovations followed a complete redesign of Westlake’s green and bunker complexes as well as the addition of a short practice course. Additional projects included the resurfacing of the Club’s tennis courts, the addition of eight pickleball courts, upgrades to both pools, and a refresh of all three levels of the property’s sports club.
