Connecting junior on-course performance data to the college recruiting process

RIDGEFIELD, Connecticut – Junior Golf Hub, the platform helping junior golfers and their families navigate the path to college golf, today announced an integration with Upgame, a leading stats-tracking platform for competitive golfers.

The integration connects Upgame’s performance data directly into JGH’s Player Dashboard, giving college coaches deeper, more current insight into recruits — and giving junior golfers a stronger way to demonstrate development over time.

Upgame by Trackman is an on-course performance and analytics platform designed to help golfers and coaches better understand, measure, and improve performance.

It captures detailed data from every shot on the course and transforms it into actionable insights, helping players identify strengths and weaknesses, make better decisions, and develop smarter course-management strategies.

The integration is live now for both platforms’ user bases.

Why it matters: Junior golf recruiting has historically leaned on tournament results and rankings — useful, but backward-looking.

By connecting Upgame’s granular performance tracking to JGH’s recruiting infrastructure, the two platforms aim to give coaches a clearer read on trajectory and consistency, not just outcomes, while giving players a more complete and current profile to be evaluated on.

“The more verified information a coach can extract about a recruit over time, the better the decision they can make,” said Rick Dowling, General Manager at Junior Golf Hub. “That’s what we’re focused on — giving players the opportunity to tell their entire story, and giving coaches a window into that story with real precision and speed.

“Bringing Upgame onto the JGH dashboard is another step in doing exactly that, and we couldn’t be happier to bring it to our coaches and players.”

“We’re thrilled about this partnership because coaches will now have access to in-depth on-course data and trends, allowing them to understand the “why” behind each player’s performance like never before,” said Sebastian MacLean, Head of Business Development at Upgame by Trackman. “Upgame gives coaches eyes on every shot a player hits on the course. Combining that level of insight with all the player information available through JGH has the potential to change the recruiting game forever—and that’s what excites me most.”

Junior golfers: Connect your Upgame account from your JGH Dashboard (or get started with a JGH Profile if you’re new) to strengthen your recruiting profile with your Upgame stats.

Parents: Encourage your junior golfer to link their accounts — a connected profile gives coaches a fuller, more accurate view of development, not just tournament finishes.

College coaches: No action needed to benefit — JGH automatically incorporates Upgame data as recruits connect their accounts. Coaches can review enhanced recruit profiles directly in their existing JGH watchlists. Access your Coach account here.
