Most renowned culinary and golf event in Mexico returns Nov. 5-8
NAYARIT, Mexico – The ultra-luxurious 1,500-acre resort and residential community of Punta Mita, set on a private peninsula along Mexico’s coveted Nayarit coastline, announces the return of its annual Gourmet & Golf Classic with a special 15th anniversary celebration.
Taking place Nov. 5-8, the four-day event brings together Michelin-starred chefs, acclaimed restauranters, celebrated sommeliers and championship golf for an unforgettable experience—set within one of Mexico’s most distinguished settings.
“As we celebrate 15 years of Gourmet & Golf, we’re honoring not only the evolution of this signature event, but also the vibrant communal spirit of Punta Mita that makes it a beloved destination for so many,” said Carl Emberson, head of operations and marketing at Punta Mita.
“For more than a decade, this weekend has brought together some of the world’s most celebrated chefs, winemakers and golfers while showcasing the warmth, culture and natural beauty of our peninsula, and this year will set a new standard for our guests.”
The weekend will feature a remarkable roster of culinary talent like Mauro Colagreco, the visionary behind Mirazur, the three-Michelin-star restaurant in France, named the World’s Best Restaurant in 2019; celebrated Hawaiian chef and “the Godfather of Poke,” Sam Choy; James Beard Award winner, Christopher Kostwo; and many others alongside celebrated sommeliers Hans Bachoff, the CEO of Monte Xanic and Laura Catena, known as the “Face of Argentine Wine”.
Special guests include decorated golfer and long-time Punta Mita ambassador, Lorena Ochoa; Rafael Alarcon, award-winning golfer; former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Larry Brown; and renowned golf instructor and performance coach Virgil Herring.
Throughout the weekend, participants will enjoy world-class dining with intimate culinary events and exceptional wine offerings, championship golf played across Punta Mita’s two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses, and the natural beauty of the Riviera Nayarit coastline.
New for 2026, Poker & Paradise, hosted by Larry Brown and Lorena Ochoa, will take place on Wednesday, November 4, setting the stage for the four-day celebration.
Weekend Highlights:
- • Thursday, Nov. 5 – The weekend begins with a warm-up clinic and exhibition match on the Pacifico Golf Course, followed by the Aeromexico – Delta Opening Cocktail Party at Pacifico Beach Club, where guests, chefs and culinary talent gather to officially kick off the celebration.
- • Friday, Nov. 6 – The Punta Mita Golf Cup tees off on Bahia and Pacifico Courses, followed by a curated luncheon with wine pairings and an evening dining experience featuring the weekend’s exceptional culinary talent.
- • Saturday, Nov. 7 – The final round of the Punta Mita Golf Cup concludes, leading into the American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf 2026 Closing Dinner at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, featuring an unforgettable evening honoring the event’s 15th anniversary milestone.
- • Sunday, Nov. 8 – The celebration comes to a close with a leisurely farewell brunch hosted by Punta Mita Properties at the striking Pacifico Beach Club, with a view overlooking the famed “Tail of the Whale.”
