DOUGLASTON, NY – Alley Pond Golf Center, one of New York City’s longest-standing public golf destinations, has announced the reopening of its extensively renovated facility, introducing a new era of golf, dining, and entertainment to Queens.
Following a comprehensive transformation, the reimagined venue now features advanced golf technology, elevated food and beverage offerings, expanded event spaces, and year-round experiences designed for everyone from first-time golfers to seasoned players.
Visitors can enjoy New York City’s longest single-row public driving range with 71 Toptracer-equipped, auto-tee hitting bays – including five dedicated left-handed bays – along with two private indoor simulator suites equipped with karaoke fun, a New American restaurant and bar with multiple 4K TVs for premium sports viewing, an expanded event space, a modern golf shop, and upgraded amenities designed to elevate the golf experience at Alley Pond Golf Center.
Beyond the driving range, guests can dine at Alley Pond Restaurant & Bar, a new full-service dining destination that pairs New American comfort food with authentic Sichuan cuisine, making it one of the only restaurants in the Douglaston area to offer traditional Sichuan dishes.
The menu features globally inspired favorites such as BBQ Short Rib Tacos with kimchi slaw and gochujang aioli, Corn Ribs with cotija cheese, cilantro, and lime, alongside Sichuan specialties including Mapo Tofu and Chongqing Chili Chicken with dried chilies and Sichuan peppercorns.
Whether stopping in after a round of golf, meeting friends for dinner, or celebrating a special occasion, Alley Pond Restaurant & Bar offers a welcoming setting for casual dining, private events, and community gatherings.

Since its soft opening in May 2026, Alley Pond Golf Center has already recorded more than 3.5 million shots through Toptracer technology across more than 24,000 driving range sessions, underscoring strong early demand for the refreshed facility.

Located within Alley Pond Park, the golf center has served the Queens neighborhood since the 1950s and is recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Golf Ranges by the Golf Range Association of America. The reopening follows a more than $10 million investment by Knox Golf Academy through a public-private partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.
Over the next 20 years, the agreement preserves the facility’s longstanding role as a neighborhood recreation center while introducing amenities that expand access to the game for beginners, families, competitive golfers and the broader community.

Designed with accessibility and sustainability at its core, the redevelopment includes ADA-compliant improvements, upgraded guest circulation, modernized building systems, energy-efficient LED lighting, and future renewable energy initiatives including planned solar panels and a geothermal system as part of Knox’s Golf Academy long-term commitment to environmental stewardship.
The transformation of Alley Pond Golf Center was led by New York Construction Management, which renovated more than 370,000 square feet, transforming the clubhouse, tee line, turf landing area, outdoor patio, restaurant and bar, pro shop, and other spaces in time for a May 2026 soft opening. Interior architecture and design were led by One M Interiors, whose vision was inspired by the natural landscape of Alley Pond Park.
Through warm wood tones, layered lighting, organic textures, and flexible gathering spaces, the redesigned venue creates a welcoming environment where guests can practice, dine, celebrate, and connect.
Alley Pond Golf Center is expected to create more than 180 employment opportunities while expanding golf instruction, youth programming, community events, and future classroom space that will introduce more New Yorkers to the game.
Driving range bays start at $19 per hour with rentals, and private indoor simulator bookings start at $35 per hour up to 8 players.
