The Putting Zone – Putting’s Next Big Thing

Perhaps you have heard about The Putting Zone – You can call it Putting 2.0 or put the current ubiquitous moniker of Putting AI on it. It matters not, as this concept is seriously old-school meets modern application.

Forget what you think of the kiddie putting course concept; this is definitely not a Putt-Putt, nor will you find nary a clown or windmill on the entire course.

The TPZ, a 29,000-square-foot indoor facility, is based in Nashville, TN. It houses a par-72, 18-hole full-blown putting course that stretches just over 1/3 of a mile. Designed by the award-winning golf course architectural duo of Garl-Nix, well known for their thoughtful, memorable designs.

This course features multiple changeable hole and tee locations, exactly like an outdoor green.  This keeps the course fresh every time it is played.

The Flagship putting course is legitimately the new Putting Capitol of the World.  Especially after hosting the TPZ Shoot-Out, the Pseudo-National Championship hosted last March and covered by ESPN.  The best putters in the country marveled over the new facility and the strategy needed to compete on this challenging course.

Note: This is a Par 72 Putting Course, which means it features Par 5s – Par 4s and Par 3s on each of the front and back nines. This is serious putting.

The entire design is crafted to mirror the contours, nuances, and challenges of its outdoor twin.  This is competitive putting, wrapped in a wonderful Scottish-themed interior design, complete with Village facades and imagery of the Old Course at St Andrews and Carnoustie, along with Scottish vistas and castle murals that decorate the walls, all supplied by the Award-Winning Golf Course Photographer, John R. Johnson.

In addition, the course walls are adorned with one of the World’s largest collections of antique hickory golf clubs, on display in a museum-like setting, with some dating back to the 1700s. This is a true Golf Mecca, centered around putting.

The course feels and operates more like an upscale golf club, complete with membership, VIP perks, leagues, and challenging local tournament play – never canceled for inclement weather.

Daily play by reservation is always available for community enjoyment. See www.ThePuttingZone.com for more information.

The concept is ripe for expansion, and that is exactly what the TPZ ownership is working on with a new indoor location slated for Naples, Florida, within the year. This location will feature an upgrade to 27 holes, with 18 open to the public and 9 available to private members. Think of it as an upscale Cigar Bar with membership lockers, a lounge, food, and amenities to rival those of any upscale club.

The public course will be 35K square feet, while the private club side will be 22K square feet, for a total of 57K square feet. A removable wall will allow the facility to expand to accommodate the needs of a National tournament or large private event.
