PINEHURST, N.C. – The Carolinas Golf Association hosted its annual Carolinas Golf Night at Pinehurst Resort, bringing together leaders, players, and supporters to celebrate the legacy, achievements, and future of amateur golf across North and South Carolina.

The evening was highlighted by the induction of the Carolinas Golf Hall of Fame Class of 2026, honoring three influential leaders whose vision and impact helped shape the game throughout the Carolinas and beyond.

Jack Nance, Robert Dedman Sr., and Robert Dedman Jr. were formally inducted during the ceremony, representing more than a century of leadership in championship administration, golf association growth, and the preservation and advancement of Pinehurst Resort, one of the most iconic golf venues in the world. The Dedmans were introduced by Jim Hyler, while Jack Nance was introduced by his brother, Bill. Family and friends were out in force to support and celebrate each of the inductees.

The night also recognized Linda Marsh, recipient of the 2026 Charles E. Lynch Distinguished Service Award, for her lifelong dedication to advancing amateur golf in the Carolinas. The award was accepted posthumously by her daughter, Paige Marsh, who delivered a compelling and heartfelt tribute to her mother’s legacy.

Linda’s other daughters, Amber Marsh Elliott and Sheree Marsh Crane, along with several friends and supporters, were also in attendance to honor her life and impact on the game.

Carolinas Golf Night also marked a significant leadership transition for the Association, as Rick Riddle concluded his term as CGA President and Rion Moore was installed as the 60th President of the Carolinas Golf Association, continuing a family legacy following his father, Marion Moore, who served as CGA President from 2002–2003.

Reflecting on his time in office, Riddle shared:

“It has been a true privilege to serve as president of the Carolinas Golf Association. What many people do not see is the dedication of the staff behind the scenes. They are the reason for the Association’s success, and any credit that comes our way truly belongs to them.”

Incoming President Rion Moore emphasized his respect for the leadership before him and his vision for the future:

“I have great respect for the leadership that came before me, and I am honored to step into this role. I am excited about where we are headed and committed to listening, learning and supporting our staff as we continue to grow the game across the Carolinas.”
The CGA also recognized its 2025 Champions, Richard S. Tufts Players of the Year, and the volunteers and leaders who continue to drive the game forward throughout the Carolinas.
The Carolinas Golf Association is proud to welcome a distinguished group of leaders to its Board of Directors. Each brings a unique blend of professional expertise, industry perspective, and passion for the game, strengthening the Association’s ability to serve golfers and advance amateur golf across the Carolinas. Their leadership will help guide the CGA as it continues to grow, evolve, and build on a strong tradition of service to the game.
