Points to be awarded to all players making the cut; points distribution adjusted to a more linear format; Annika Women’s All Pro Tour added to roster of counting tours

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – The Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings (WWGR) announced today that changes to the calculation methodology for the Rankings will take effect starting with the Jan. 5 update.

These adjustments will introduce more players into the Rankings, notably players on tours with a lower strength of field (SOF). The changes were implemented following standard review protocols carried out by the WWGR Board.

All players making a cut in a WWGR event with a cut will receive Rankings points regardless of the strength of field. In the current points structure, the number of players receiving Rankings points in any given field was determined by the SOF.

Additionally, each SOF will now have its own unique points distribution, moving to a more linear format; previously, the points distribution was determined by what range the SOF fell into.

For example, events with an SOF of 141-150 shared the same points distribution, while events with an SOF of 151-160 shared a different points distribution. Starting in 2026, each SOF (141, 142, 143, etc.) will have its own unique point distribution.

The WWGR also announced today the addition of the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT) to the Rankings beginning in 2026. The WAPT is the 13th tour to be included in the Rankings and the first addition since the Thai LPGA in 2023.

The ANNIKA WAPT will begin accumulating points at the Lake Charles Regional Sports Authority Championship in Lake Charles, La., to be held April 8-11. The ANNIKA WAPT, which was established in 2019, staged 12 tournaments in 2025 and will expand to 13 in 2026.

The ANNIKA WAPT provides a direct path to the Epson Tour, with the top two weekly finishers receiving exemptions into selected Epson Tour events.

Additionally, top finishers on the ANNIKA WAPT season-ending Order of Merit earn exemptions into the Qualifying Stage of LPGA Q-Series. The success story of the Epson Tour-ANNIKA WAPT partnership can be highlighted in the success of its graduates, including LPGA Tour winners Grace Kim, Bailey Tardy and Miranda Wang.
