To support the 2025 U.S. Municipal Golf Study and offer advisory services to member courses

CHICAGO, Illinois — Greenlight Advisors has announced that the National Golf Foundation has joined GLA’s Certified Partner Program and will provide advisory support for the 2025 U.S. Municipal Golf Study.

The partnership pairs GLA’s GolfClubBenchmarks.com platform and reports with NGF’s deep municipal golf consulting experience to help public and municipal courses measure performance, identify improvement opportunities, and strengthen long-term financial sustainability.

To join the 2025 U.S. Municipal Golf Study, signup at https://signup.golfclubbenchmarks.com/ and enter the discount code “NGF” to take advantage of this complimentary service. The sign-up ends on Nov. 15.

The NGF will work alongside GLA to support data collection, regional benchmarking, and the delivery of tailored advisory services to GLA member courses. Together the organizations will offer participating municipal facilities practical tools and guidance to compare their financial and operational performance to regional and national averages, prioritize investments, and improve operating margins and player experience.

Why it matters: municipal golf courses play a critical role in community recreation but often operate under tight budget constraints. By combining GLA’s benchmarking methodology with NGF’s municipal consulting expertise, public course managers will gain clearer, actionable insights — from maintenance and staffing benchmarks to revenue diversification strategies — that drive measurable financial and operational improvements.

“Joining Greenlight Advisors as an advisory partner to support their municipal golf study and ongoing benchmark is a natural fit for the NGF,” said Greg Nathan, President and CEO, NGF. “As the leading industry consultants for municipal golf, backed by our years of experience, we plan to work closely with Greenlight Advisors to drive the long-term growth and sustainability of municipal golf across the country. Strengthening municipal golf course performance, by way of GLA’s study and NGF’s expertise, will reap long-term health for the entire golf industry.

“NGF is thrilled to be a part of that story.”

GLA will publish national and regionally adjusted benchmark findings from the 2025 U.S. Municipal Golf Study and will make study resources available to participating courses, including a self-assessment toolkit and case studies illustrating best practices. NGF advisors will be available to help municipal operators interpret results and implement prioritized improvement plans.
