New campaign raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research across four golf communities

FORT MYERS, Florida – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lennar’s Southwest Florida division is proud to unveil its “Play for Pink” initiative, a month-long campaign designed to raise awareness, support early detection and raise funds for breast cancer research through the game of golf.

Throughout October, pink flags will proudly fly on the ninth and 18th greens at four Lennar golf facilities, symbolizing solidarity and hope for those affected by breast cancer.

As part of the initiative, Lennar Southwest Florida will donate $1 for every round of golf played in October 2025 at the following participating courses:

  • Ibis Landing Golf & Country Club in Lehigh Acres, Fla.
  • Webbs Reserve Golf Club in Babcock Ranch, Fla.
  • Calusa Country Club in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
  • Wellen Park Golf & Country Club in Venice, Fla.

PLAY for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge) supports a nationwide network of volunteers who raise money for breast cancer research through sporting and lifestyle events to speed advances in prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship. PLAY for P.I.N.K. donates 100 percent of its proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

“Golf is more than a game—it’s a community,” said Matthew Koratich, Director of Community Management – Lennar Southwest Florida. “By turning our courses pink this October, we’re inviting our residents, guests, and team members to rally around a cause that touches so many lives. Every round played is a swing toward progress.”

The “Play for Pink” initiative is part of a broader October campaign led by Troon, the world’s largest golf and golf-related hospitality management company. Troon facilities across the country will host events and activations throughout the month to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, with PLAY for P.I.N.K. serving as a central partner in the effort.

This initiative complements Lennar’s ongoing commitment to community wellness and engagement, following the recent launch of Lennar Family Golf. Both programs reflect Lennar’s dedication to creating meaningful experiences at its master-planned communities.
