ULTIMATE LAUNCH MONITOR CHALLENGE’ KICKS OFF FULL SWING’S NEW BRAND CAMPAIGN

CARLSBAD, California – Full Swing, the industry leader in pioneering sports technology, recently hosted the inaugural “Ultimate Launch Monitor Challenge” to kick off a new brand campaign for its KIT Launch Monitor.

The Ultimate Launch Monitor Challenge was a first-of-its-kind golf industry event. It was held at California’s Oceanside Sports Complex, a perfectly flat, 52-acre facility that is home to 22 full-size, natural turf soccer fields, making it an ideal launch monitor testing facility. 

A temporary driving range was built across several of these fields so that three premium launch monitors – Trackman 4, Foresight QCQuad and Full Swing KIT – could simultaneously track shots hit by a former professional golfer.

A team of highly trained spotters was stationed downrange to mark precisely where each shot landed and share those exact coordinates. Once the landing spot was identified, multiple range finders were used to “shoot” the spotter and measure the shot’s true distance. This number was then recorded, as were the carry distances calculated by each of the launch monitors. 

The three products all had the manufacturers’ latest firmware and Titleist Pro V1x balls were used. A video from the day can be watched here.

“I’m proud of how the Full Swing team pulled together to host the Ultimate Launch Monitor Challenge,” said Jason Fierro, Full Swing’s Chief Operating Officer. “They did something that had never been done before – capture individual shot data from three leading launch monitor brands, and then compare that data to a true yardage number measured by range finders. We invited golf media and content creators to attend the event, confident in how KIT would perform. 

“But we took a risk, as we had no idea how the three products would stack up shot for shot. As far as our team’s concerned, the results speak for themselves and the numbers don’t lie.”

“The New Truth” campaign for Full Swing’s KIT will shine a spotlight on its unparalleled combination of exceptional accuracy, attractive price point and overall performance. The KIT was built with significant input from Tiger Woods to make it the most complete, tour-level launch monitor ever, yet affordable for golf enthusiasts to purchase their own. 

KIT includes 16 points of Doppler radar-powered club and ball data, sharable high-resolution video replay of every swing, full-color customizable display, best in class app and, new this year, the Full Swing Combine powered by Clippd. 

The Combine’s proprietary, AI-based “Shot Quality” metric allows users to receive instant and easily digestible feedback so they can practice with even more purpose.

The Ultimate Launch Monitor Challenge also included an opportunity for participants to visit Full Swing’s headquarters. The company shared insights on its full spectrum of products, including soon-to-be-released updates for its industry-leading simulators and Virtual Green technology that is powering TGL’s custom-built synthetic putting surface.
