Premium Swedish golf apparel brand Abacus Sportswear has unveiled two new outerwear pieces tailored specifically for golfers facing windy conditions out on the course.
Designed with cutting-edge fabric technology, the Lanark Stretch Wind Hoodie and the Kingsbarns Hybrid Hoodie offer high-performance features that help golfers maintain warmth, comfort, flexibility and focus — even when the wind picks up.
“The most important thing for windproof golfwear is that it doesn’t interfere with the swing,” says Chris Mattsson, Chief Design Manager at Abacus Sportswear. “Both the Lanark and Kingsbarns hoodies are crafted with lightweight, stretchy materials to ensure unrestricted movement. Comfort and temperature regulation are also key, which is why we’ve used moisture-wicking fabrics that keep golfers dry inside while shielding them from the wind.”
Kingsbarns Hybrid Hoodie
The Kingsbarns Hybrid Hoodie combines the style of a sweater with advanced protection from the elements. The front and back are constructed from a windproof, water-repellent 3-layer softshell fabric featuring a subtle pattern, while the sleeves and shoulders are made from soft, stretchy fleece brushed on the inside for extra comfort.
With a fixed hood, half-zip front, and zippered side pockets, this hoodie is both practical and stylish. Additional details include elasticated armholes and hem for a secure fit, and a higher collar for added warmth.
Offered in Grey/Navy and Forest Green/Royal Blue color options, in sizes S-2XL, the Kingsbarns Hybrid Hoodie has an MSRP: $190
Lanark Stretch Wind Hoodie The Lanark Stretch Wind Hoodie boasts a stylish all-over transparent print and block color combination that gives it a contemporary edge, while practical design features include a fixed hood, half-zip front, zippered side pockets, and elastic binding at the sleeve ends and bottom hem for a snug, comfortable fit.
Made from PFC-free, recycled polyester, the Lanark Stretch Wind Hoodie is both windproof and water repellent. Being made from a thin windproof fabric it is the perfect choice for warmer, yet windy days and is available in a choice of Green/Blue/Orange or Navy/Grey/White color combinations, in sizes S-2XL.
