TOLEDO, Ohio — Golf simulators are becoming increasingly popular, and at the heart of every great setup is a reliable impact screen. These screens do a lot more than just show a pretty picture—they have to display a clear, lifelike image of the course while withstanding thousands of golf ball hits over time. That’s no small feat.

The fabric they’re made from plays a big role. It needs to be smooth and light enough for a crisp, high-definition projection but also strong and durable enough to take the constant pounding from fast-moving balls without ripping or wearing out.

One standout in the ultra-premium golf screen market is Ace Indoor Golf. The company provides screen systems for the largest retailers and indoor golf centers in the United States. Based in Toledo, Ohio, they’ve built a reputation for quality by using a special polyester mesh in their screens—a tough, lightweight material that’s also used in industrial fabrics.

This mesh isn’t just strong; it’s ideal for golf simulators because it can handle repeated high-speed ball impacts without tearing or losing its shape, all while maintaining a clear and sharp projected image.

Ace Indoor Golf’s custom HiQ screen is the best, most durable screen on the market, says Joe Nuemeyer, co-owner of Ace Indoor Golf. The screens are designed to take the hardest hits. Most screens are single-ply fabric that scars easily and wears out quickly. HiQ screens feature a three-ply polyester design that allows the ball to hit the screen with minimal bounce-back or puckering; they absorb the sound of the impact and display a bright, high-contrast image.

Best of all, the screen materials are highly durable, taking up to 34,000 hits with hardly any stretching.  Plus, HiQ can handle the fastest ball speeds at over 200+ mph.

HiQ screens are manufactured from Heat-Set Fire-Resistant Polyester and meet all FR ratings, allowing them to be used in any commercial environment. Ace builds craftsmanship into the webbing/edges of its screens using a thicker, higher quality, more durable material than you see on other screens. 2” Hook Velcro is double-stitched into the front webbing allowing it to attach to Gap Pads that cover your frame, bungees, and the space between your screen and your frame.

Ace’s 2” thick foam Frame Pads easily overlap and attach to the gap pad via Hook Velcro for the very best in Frame protection.

Delivering the highest quality, Ace Indoor Golf uses 1/2” hole grommets every 12 inches. The grommets allow 3/16” diameter bungee cables and string ties to be looped through, enabling the hooks to connect to the frame instead of the screen, thereby minimizing impact and rebound and increasing longevity and durability.

Ace HiQ golf impact screens feature a Floor-to-Top design, meaning it does not require a frame on the bottom, providing an immersive, continuous image with unrivaled realism. The screen includes a bottom pocket and an elastic shock cord that threads through the pocket and connects to either side of the frame on the floor. The elastic shock cord snaps taught to the ground, eliminating the need for a bottom frame and the potential for frame ricochets.

Ace Indoor Golf provides screens to the largest golf retailers, indoor golf centers, launch manufacturers, and consumers, who comment on the minimal impact noise and how quiet Ace’s screen system is compared to others.
