M&T Hotel Management is transforming the driving range at The Abbey Hotel Golf & Spa into one of the most advanced, all-weather golf facilities in the Midlands.

Powered by advanced ball tracking technology with Inrange, the 26-bay, two-story range will provide a best-in-class practice facility for serious golfers as well as an interactive social and entertainment experience for hotel guests, corporate events and the local community.

The Abbey Hotel, one of M&T’s 20-plus managed UK properties, is renowned as one of Worcestershire’s leading golf resorts. Its popular par-72 parkland course is a firm favorite for members, hotel golf breaks, visiting players, society groups and corporate golf days, complemented by a putting green, pro shop and custom fit centre.

Inrange’s award-winning full flight tracking technology accurately tracks to every part of the range in any weather conditions. The technology is adaptable and serves both professional players and complete beginners alike.

Darren Purnell, general manager at The Abbey Hotel, said “This is a significant investment in our hotel and the guest experiences we offer. Inrange’s cutting-edge technology takes our golf offering to the next level, allowing us to create a space where seasoned golfers can sharpen their game and newcomers can fall in love with the sport in a fun, welcoming environment.

“The transformation of our range will encourage new golf event formats and inspire guests and visitors to make the most of all The Abbey has to offer, from our spa and dining to our meetings and event spaces.”

Peter Hales, managing director at M&T, said “This installation not only modernises the golf experience at The Abbey, it is an example of our commitment to using the best technology to both enhance guest experiences and deliver value for our clients.

“We look forward to seeing the impact of this installation and to explore further rollout with Inrange across other golf properties in our portfolio.”

Inrange technology will be available to guests at The Abbey Hotel Golf & Spa from the end of May.  Visit The Abbey for more information and for Inrange visit the website.
