CHIBA, Japan – Global stars are heading to Chiba for the third stop on the 2025 International Series schedule, as past champions Peter Uihlein, John Catlin, and Ollie Schniederjans lead a world-class field at the inaugural International Series Japan from May 8-11 at Caledonian Golf Club.

Uihlein, a two-time International Series winner in 2024, will be joined by last year’s Asian Tour Order of Merit champion Catlin and India event winner Schniederjans. They headline a strong LIV Golf contingent that includes Legion XIII’s Caleb Surratt, Torque GC’s Mito Pereira, Frederik Kjettrup of Cleeks GC, and Majesticks GC’s Sam Horsfield.

These names add to an already exciting field previously announced, which features Lucas Herbert, Harold Varner III, and a host of leading Asian Tour talent.

Uihlein dominated the field with his two victories last year, winning International Series England at Foxhills Club & Resort by seven shots, before backing it up with a five-stroke triumph at International Series Qatar at Doha Golf Club in November.

Joining him in the marquee line-up is fellow American Catlin, who capped off a standout 2024 season by topping the Asian Tour Order of Merit – a campaign highlighted by back-to-back victories at the International Series Macau presented by Wynn and the Saudi Open presented by PIF.

Schniederjans got his 2025 season off to a flyer, winning the opening International Series India presented by DLF at DLF Golf and Country Club – he beat reigning US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau by four shots and will be hoping to replicate his previous success, this time at Caledonian Golf Club.

Pereira, a proud Olympian and Torque GC member, returns to Japan with fond memories, having represented his country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Fans will also get their first glimpse of two of LIV Golf’s most promising newcomers, Kjettrup, a 25-year-old Dane with three PGA Tour Americas wins, and 20-year-old Surratt, who has already posted three top-five finishes on the International Series since turning pro in 2024.

up in Florida, also joins the field, bringing momentum from a strong start to his season with Majesticks GC – highlighted by a T12 finish at LIV Golf’s season opener in Riyadh and a T7 in Adelaide.

The news follows the recent confirmation of a strong Japanese contingent, headlined by national icon Ryo Ishikawa, alongside rising stars Taiga Semikawa, Yuta Sugiura, Takashi Ogiso, Ren Yonezawa, Naoyuki Kataoka, and Taihei Sato – all set to compete in what is shaping up to be one of the most compelling events on the 2025 International Series calendar.

They join a deep field that also includes other previously confirmed Asian stars such as Hong Kong’s Taichi Kho, Japan’s Shugo Imahira and Jinichiro Kozuma reinforcing the tournament’s blend of regional strength and international quality.

Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, said: “This is one of the most competitive fields we’ve assembled, featuring standout talent from across the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour. The addition of so many proven international winners adds a new level of anticipation to what’s already shaping up to be a huge week for golf in Japan. With a strong local contingent also in the mix, International Series Japan promises to deliver the kind of drama and quality that defines this series.”
