PALOS VERDES ESTATES, California – Hall-of-Famer Seri Pak, one of the most decorated professional golfers in history from the Republic of Korea, returns to team up with the LPGA Tour and global investment firm Fir Hills to host the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, taking place March 17-23 at Palos Verdes Golf Club in suburban Los Angeles.

The first of two LPGA Tour events in Los Angeles, the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship will feature a field of 144 of the world’s best female professional golfers for a share of the $2 million purse.

“We are thrilled to welcome back the LPGA Tour and tournament host Seri Pak to Palos Verdes Golf Club for the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship in 2025,” said John Barry, Palos Verdes Golf Club LPGA Tournament Chairman. “It is an honor for Palos Verdes Golf Club to have the opportunity to continue to elevate women’s sports and offer the players, fans and local community a world-class event that everyone can enjoy.”

Pak, who amassed 39 professional victories worldwide, is a pioneer in the world of golf and an inspiration for generations of LPGA Tour players from the Republic of Korea.

Pak joined the LPGA Tour in 1998 and won her first two of five majors during her debut season, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship (then the McDonald’s LPGA Championship) and the U.S. Women’s Open at age 20, ultimately earning Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year honors. In total, she would win 25 times on the LPGA Tour before retiring following the 2016 season.

Rolex Rankings No. 1 Nelly Korda, who amassed seven wins en-route to a historic year in 2024, is scheduled to defend her FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship title at Palos Verdes Golf Club in March. She captured the inaugural FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship in a playoff to win her second LPGA Tour event of the season.

“Growing up, Seri Pak inspired so many around golf, and me being one of them,” said Korda following her victory in 2024. “She’s one of the greatest to ever play the game. To get to meet her, talk to her and win her event is an absolute amazing feeling.”
