MIAMI, Florida – The NXXT Women’s Pro Tour is thrilled to announce the Sir Winston Cup, a groundbreaking event that combines world-class women’s professional golf with a celebration of our four-legged friends.

This one-of-a-kind championship, featuring a $30,000 prize purse, will take place from Jan. 20-22 at the prestigious Red Tail Golf Club in Sorrento, Florida. In a rare and exciting twist, spectators and players alike are invited to bring their leashed dogs to enjoy this special dog-friendly event.

Winston, the NXXT tour mascot

The Sir Winston Cup is proud to partner with the Leesburg Humane Society, a private, no-kill animal shelter that has been serving the local community since 1960. As part of this partnership, the event will host an on-site dog adoption event, offering fans the chance to meet and adopt dogs from the shelter, helping to give these animals loving homes.

The Humane Society operates entirely on private donations and will receive a portion of event proceeds to further support their work.

The Sir Winston Cup is part of the NXXT Winter Series, a lineup of 13 championship events running from November 2024 through March 2025. In addition to the $30,000 purse, players on the tour are competing for 10 coveted Epson Tour exemptions and the chance to win the Player of the Year title through the season-long Drive to the LPGA program.

The top three performers for the season will have their Stage 1 Q-School fees covered, offering a clear pathway to higher levels of competition.

At the heart of this unique event is Sir Winston, the NXXT Tour’s beloved canine mascot. Winston is more than just a figurehead—he’s a fan favorite and a constant companion to the players on tour.

Known for his friendly greetings at the first tee and his playful presence on the course, Winston has become an icon of the tour. Whether he’s wagging his tail at the 18th green or offering congratulations to players, Sir Winston adds warmth and joy to the competitive atmosphere.

Stuart McKinnon, Founder & CEO of the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour, shared his enthusiasm: “The Sir Winston Cup is a special opportunity to blend our passion for golf with the joy that dogs bring to our lives. We’re excited to partner with the Leesburg Humane Society for such a meaningful cause and to create a unique event that celebrates both women’s golf and animal welfare.”
