Identifying the ideal golf grip size for your game is no longer a mystery. JumboMax’s new Intelligent Grip Fitting App uses augmented reality and its new tour-tested grip-fitting algorithm to recommend the best grip size for every golfer.
JumboMax offers up to eight different grip sizes, from standard to the XL size used by 2024 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau. The company also offers counterbalanced and non-tapered options to offer golfers the most complete golf grip lineup in the industry.
“The number one question from our customers is ‘What grip size do I need?’” said JumboMax President John Mazzanoble. “Testing different grip sizes can be overwhelming, so we developed our new app to take the mystery out of grip fitting. It makes grip fitting fast, easy, and accurate for golfers, golf retailers, and custom club fitters.”
JumboMax has been testing its Intelligent Grip Fitting App since late 2023 to ensure its algorithm is accurate across the golf population. The company leveraged its testing with tour players, junior golfers, seniors, women, and long drivers to produce accurate results for all golfers.
The app is free to use and available for Apple iPhone and iPad devices that feature a TruDepth camera.
Golfers first use the JumboMax Intelligent Grip Fitting App by positioning their hand over the device. The front-facing TrueDepth camera technology captures 21 data points to determine a base-line grip size.
Golfers then answer four questions about their individual game and tendencies, allowing the tour-tested grip-fitting algorithm to further fine tune the grip fitting recommendation for the individual. Results with the app have closely mirrored those of in-person fittings, and the process takes just minutes to complete.
JumboMax Grips has been challenging conventional wisdom about golf grips for more than a decade, creating innovative grip sizes, shapes, and compounds that have been used to win on the biggest stages in golf.
Current JumboMax grip users include Bryson DeChambeau, a two-time U.S. Open Champion, as well as World Golf Hall of Fame Member Retief Goosen.
