Interactive education, industry innovations coming to golf course management’s biggest event

LAWRENCE, Kansas – The GCSAA Conference and Trade Show returns to Orlando Feb. 6-9 with an interactive experience you won’t find anywhere else.

The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and presenting partners, the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) and American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), will offer a week of interactive education, hands-on experiences and celebration of the golf course management industry.

The 2023 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show will be held at the Orange County Convention Center and kicks off with the GCSAA Golf Championships presented by Toro Feb. 2-6 at Omni Resort at ChampionsGate Resort and Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge.

After four fun golf events and crowning of GCSAA’s national champion, the education conference and a trade show offer unparalleled professional development and networking opportunities for those who manage, own and build golf facilities, as well as those companies that cater to golf facilities.

“Orlando is always a popular spot for our attendees and exhibitors, so we are excited to bring a full lineup of interactive experiences and enhanced opportunities to the city in 2023,” said Rhett Evans, GCSAA CEO. “There is really something for everyone in the industry.”

In addition to dedicated education and show time, each day of the GCSAA Conference will feature a special theme and corresponding events.

  • Monday, Feb. 6: Cultivating Growth: Champions of the Course. The first day features enhanced education with seminars, Power Hours and Interactive Facility Tours plus a beach party at the Welcome Reception, presented in partnership with Syngenta, at Aquatica.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 7: Cultivating Growth: Immersive Education. Day two starts early with the Health in Action 5K, presented in partnership with Syngenta, then centers around even more education, including 14 tracks developed on specialized topics and for every role at the facility. The day ends with the exhibitor-hosted events known as Industry Night
  • Wednesday, Feb. 8: Cultivating Growth: Discovering Innovation. The GCSAA Sunrise Celebration, presented in partnership with Syngenta and honoring the winner of the Col. John Morley Award and more, starts the day. Then the focus is the on the trade show. With more than 500 exhibitors expected and the Interactive Grass Stage built by GCBAA, GCSAA, USGA and ASGCA, attendees will see the latest innovations and discover the solutions they can take back to their facilities. Wednesday night features events hosted by GCSAA-affiliated chapters.
  • Thursday, Feb. 9: Cultivating Growth: Celebrating You. On the last (and biggest) day, the trade show is still in focus, but will turn even more interactive with chances to test and demo products, win prizes in hourly giveaways and end the day with the GCSAA Send-Off Celebration, presented in partnership with John Deere, featuring the winner of the Old Tom Morris Award, the GCSAA Collegiate Turf Bowl champions, additional giveaways and more.

Attendees can secure their spot by registering at gcsaaconference.com during Advance Registration through Nov. 15.
