FSU course also selected to host 2026 Women’s Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Florida State University’s Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida is set to host an NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Regional, May 9-11. Each of the six regional sites will feature 12 teams and six individuals, with the top four teams and top two individuals (not already on an advancing team) qualifying for the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships to be played in Scottsdale, Ariz. May 20-25.

“We are excited about the opportunity to showcase what might be the best collegiate golf course in the country,” said Seminole Legacy General Manager Jaxon Hardy.

Florida State University’s Seminole Legacy Golf Club is considered one of the premier university golf courses in the country and has hosted numerous NCAA Men’s Regional Championships, including in the spring of 2021. In 2020, Seminole Legacy underwent a $10 million renovation led by the Nicklaus Design Company.

The scope of the renovation included a complete redesign of the golf course, with only one hole remaining from the original routing. The new Nicklaus Design golf course sits on 174 acres, measures 7,800 yards plays to a par 72, has two practice ranges and includes a new 12-hole par 3 course for the university’s golf teams. All tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, greens and cart paths are new.  Originally designed by Bill Amick, the course opened in 1962. For years, the club has served as the home of Florida State University’s men’s and women’s golf teams and still does today.

Seminole Legacy offers a variety of memberships designed for Florida State University students, faculty and staff, and friends of the University.
