SOMIS, California – Outlyr and the LPGA Tour announced this week that the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship will move to Southern California for 2022 and take place at The Saticoy Club, a premier country club nestled within the hillsides of Somis in Ventura County.

Previously hosted at Lake Merced Country Club from 2018-2021, the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship will take place Oct. 3-9, featuring a field of 120 of the world’s top professional golfers competing for a share of the $1.8 million purse.

This will be the first professional golf tournament staged at Saticoy Club, a host of numerous USGA championship qualifier tournaments and Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) Amateur Championships.

Tournament officials also announced a variety of ticket packages are now on sale for the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship exclusively online at www.MedihealChamp.com.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with the LPGA Tour in 2022 and working with The Saticoy Club for the 2022 LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship,” said Hyuk je Kwon, tournament executive. “In the tournament’s first four years we have established the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship as a world-class championship. It is an honor for us to support women’s golf and provide a platform for the game’s best players to showcase their talents to fans all over the world.”

“Saticoy Club is excited to host the world’s best female professional golfers in October for the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship,” said Robert Nagelberg, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager for The Saticoy Club. “As one of the top-rated courses in California, Saticoy will provide a championship-level test. We look forward to welcoming the players and fans to Saticoy in October.”

“We are excited to bring the LPGA Tour back to Southern California and showcasing the game’s top players at a tremendous golf course in The Saticoy Club,” said David Tucker, tournament director for the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship. “The support we have received from The Saticoy Club and Ventura County has been outstanding. We are thrilled to bring the first-ever LPGA Tour event to Saticoy and showcase such a wonderful facility to the world in October.”
