More than $22.2 million raised to date through annual tournament

CHICAGO (Feb. 26, 2021) – RSM US LLP, the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market and title sponsor of The RSM Classic, an official PGA TOUR event hosted by the Davis Love Foundation, is proud to announce that the 11th annual RSM Classic raised $4,608,566 for children- and family-focused charitable organizations.

This brings the grand contribution total raised through the tournament since it began in 2010 to more than $22.2 million.

“The RSM Classic has become a part of our firm’s history, giving us an opportunity to spend quality time with key clients, colleagues and friends in a beautiful setting, while giving back to the 87 communities across the country and in Canada where our 13,000-plus people live and work,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO of RSM US LLP.

“While the pandemic meant that we were unable to come together in person for this year’s tournament, we developed some innovative ways to engage with our fans virtually, while keeping the tournament’s focus on stewardship squarely at the center of the event. I think I speak on behalf of all of our people when I say that we at RSM are honored to be a part of something that does so much good for so many.”

“I am blown away each year by the dedication of our people, our clients and our friends to RSM’s employee-led Birdies Fore Love program,” said Doug Opheim, chief financial officer and chair of the RSM US Foundation  “2020 was a challenging year, and still supporters of Birdies Fore Love raised the bar yet again by exceeding all expectations to surpass last year’s total and raise over $4 million for those in need through the program. The generosity of those who support this program and raise the bar every year is truly amazing.”

Charitable dollars raised through The RSM Classic are distributed by the Davis Love Foundation, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that hosts and operates the tournament. The Foundation was established in 2005 by professional golfer and Team RSM member Davis Love III and his wife Robin. The Foundation contributes to the wellbeing and progress of society by supporting both national and community-based programs that focus on children and their families. The Foundation’s mission is to help build better futures for families and children at risk. .

“The team at the Davis Love Foundation is humbled to be able to help make a difference in the lives of children and families through the funds raised by The RSM Classic,” said Love. “It’s a privilege to support the PGA TOUR’s tradition of charitable giving through this event, which is our foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, and which takes place at our home of Sea Island each November.

“We are thrilled about the dollars raised during this very difficult past year, and are looking forward to continuing to give back in 2021 and beyond.”

The 2021 RSM Classic is scheduled for Nov. 15-21, 2021 at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia’s Golden Isles.
