The qualifiers are for PGA Tour Canada and PGA Tour Latinoamerica

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Florida (Aug. 31, 2018) – Mission Inn Resort & Club is adding the 2019 U.S. qualifying tournament for the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada to its calendar for the next three years, in addition to already being named host of the U.S. qualifier for the PGA Tour Latinoamericathrough 2021.

Competition at the iconic central Florida golf destination will be played on its historic El Campeón course, with the 2019 PGA Tour Latinoamerica scheduled for January, while the Mackenzie Tour is scheduled for March 4-8, 2019.

The PGA Tour Latinoamerica qualifier is returning for the second of four years exclusively at Mission Inn Resort, while the PGA Tour selected the resort as a U.S. qualifying venue for the Mackenzie Tour from 2019 through 2021. Leading finishers from the qualifiers earn same-year memberships for playing privileges on the respective tours.

At this year’s PGA Tour Latinoamericaqualifier, membership was awarded to the top-35 finishers and those tied for 35 that the end of the four qualifying rounds.

Through the years, Mission Inn Resort & Club’s timeline of elite competition has included virtually every level of play, from the Florida State High School Golf Championships to the upcoming 42ndFlorida State Senior Open.

Most notably, the resort’s legacy of hosting a major or regional collegiate golf championship every year since the 1990s is going to extend at least through 2020 – hitting the 24-year mark for consecutive seasons serving as home for collegiate golf competition.

El Campeón (“The Champion”) is one of the oldest courses in the South, with the classic design elements to prove it and sharp elevation changes that are unusual for central Florida. El Campeón plays more than 7,000 yards from the tips. The course is on the Florida Historic Golf Trail.
